About Hatchmoor Nursing Home
The Singh family
Having run successful businesses in North Devon since the 1930's, the Singh family branched into Nursing Homes in 1996. The first Home was built with 16 bedrooms and soon expanded due to its enviable reputation for care and family atmosphere. Swimbridge Court, a Retirement Complex, was built in 2003 consisting of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and bungalows. A unique feature of this complex is the succesful childrens day nursery that opened in 2006.
Following on from the success of their original Nursing Home and Swimbridge Court, Hatchmoor Nursing Home was opened in June 2009. All that was learnt from the experience of building and running the previous Homes was built into Hatchmoor. The project was run and built by the Singh's Family own Nursing Home construction firm OQ Developments with Solomon Singh personally running the project. Uniquely residents, their families and staff at Swimbridge House and Court were consulted about what they felt was needed in a perfect purpose built Home. The result being Hatchmoor.
